Partners from DTU promoted INSULAE at the International Conference on Renewable Energies and Smart Technologies held in Tirana, Albania from 28th to 29th of July 2022.

In particular:

  • Professor Mattia Marinelli presented an overview of INSULAE results achieved during the past 3 years along with other research projects demonstrated in Bornholm island : ACDC, the recently launched H2020 EV4EU and Topcharge. The special session entitled “The rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and their respective clusters grid flexibility” was organized (among others) and moderated by DTU partners, Lisa Calearo and Kristian Sevdari. The presentation can be found here.
  • An article entitled Comparison of Reconfigurable BESS and Direct Grid Installation for EV Fast Chargers: a Danish Case Study was prepared with the contribution of Lisa Calearo, Jan Engelhardt, Mattia Marinelli in collaboration with Padova University and with the support of INSULAE. The preprint of the publication can be downloaded here
  • Mirko Ledro opened the “Energy Efficiency and Decarbonization Technologies” session by presenting INSULAE as part of the research project “Testing Procedures of Active Power Functions for Grid Code Compliance of Battery Systems”. You can access the related article co-authored by Zoltán Márk Pintér, Tatiana Gabderakhmanova and Mattia Marinelli here.

The conference was attended by engineers and energy experts from more than 20 countries worldwide.
